Yoga is a group of physical, mental, and spiritual practices or disciplines that originated in ancient India. Yoga as exercise is a physical activity consisting largely of asanas, often connected by flowing sequences called vinyasas, sometimes accompanied by the breathing exercises of pranayama, and usually ending with a period of relaxation or meditation. Yoga is suitable for all ages and abilities.

Reflexology is a complementary therapy involving the application of pressure to specific reflex points on the feet and hands. This is done using specific thumb, finger, and hand massage techniques. A system of zones and reflex areas that reflect an image of the body on the feet and hands, with the premise that such work on the feet and hands causes a physical change to the related areas of the body.

Meditation is a practice where an individual uses a technique – such as mindfulness, or focusing the mind on a particular object, thought, or activity – to train attention and awareness, and achieve a mentally clear and emotionally calm and stable state.

Reiki is a complementary therapy that focuses on energy healing. Reiki practitioners use a technique called palm healing or hands-on healing through which a “universal energy” is transferred through the palms of the practitioner to the patient in order to encourage emotional or physical healing.

Life coaching is the process of helping people identify and achieve personal goals through developing skills and attitudes that lead to self-empowerment. Life coaching generally deals with issues such as work-life balance and career changes and often occurs outside the workplace setting.

Knowing as much as possible before beginning a process is crucial. A holistic consultation covers all aspects of a person’s life, from birth through to the present day. It incorporates health, lifestyle, relationships, work, past events as well as considering future plans.
